Wednesday was another amazing day; beautiful sunshine, new and deeper friendships, a lot of Starbucks, the Daraja Children’s Choir from Africa, and students encountering God.The theme for this year is Think, Francis Chan spoke again this morning and challenged us to think differently about what matters most in this life. His challenge to us was that we are never more like Jesus than when we are rescuing people. Most of us left wanting to drop out of school and quit our jobs to give our lives to changing and saving others. We have relaxed a little but we spent this evening talking about ways in which we can make an immediate impact in our community and dreaming for God to reveal to us something so big He will have to come through to make it happen! Tonight Andy Stanley gave the most practical message on dealing with conflict i have ever heard! The worship services have been amazing, it has been so powerful to hear 3000 students passionately declaring the glory of God! Now i know a few of you are wondering; we haven’t lost anyone, there haven’t been any incidents, and they have all been respectful and co-operative!! I have never been more proud of a group of students and we believe that God is beginning to do something HUGE in/through our student ministries! We are excited and sad that tomorrow is our last full day…can’t wait to watch what God does (hint: we will be baptizing students in the ocean tomorrow night!!). Goodnight.
